Whitetail season at Rustic Springs Ranch
We hunt trophy whitetail with a rifle during the Texas general season. For the 2026-2027 season in Franklin County that is November 7, 2026 through January 3, 2027. Whitetail is the one hunt on the ranch tied to the state calendar, and the best dates go first, so book early.
Trophy whitetail pricing
Trophy whitetail hunts start at $10,500 for a 200-inch class buck. Every trophy hunt is fully guided and backed by our "No Shot Opportunity, No Pay" policy. If an animal is shot and not recovered, the hunter is responsible for the full price of the animal. Lodging and meals are $200 per person per day for ages 13 and up, and free for kids 12 and under. A 50 percent non-refundable deposit reserves your dates.
What to expect
You bring your own rifle, or ask us about a loaner. Out-of-state hunters need the Non-Resident General Hunting License, $315, because the 5-day exotic license covers exotics only; our license guide explains the difference. Many whitetail hunters add a blackbuck or an oryx to the same trip, since those are hunted year-round and need no extra season.
